Caldwell Partners Announces Significant Expansion of Latin American Team

CPGroup Latam adds four new partners and opens new office in Buenos Aires

Toronto– August 9, 2016 – Retained executive search firm The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL) today announced a significant expansion of the firm’s Latin American team through the addition of four new partners and a new office in Buenos Aires. Adilson Parrella and Pedro Folque de Almeida have joined the Sao Paulo office, Eleonora Cajiao has joined the Bogota office and Estanislao Peña has opened the firm’s new office in Buenos Aires.

“With the addition of an office in Buenos Aires and four new partners in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, we now have full coverage of the entire Latin American market,” said Eduardo Antunovic, one of the founding partners of CPGroup Latam. “With President Mauricio Macri’s recent economic reforms and pro-market agenda, now is the perfect time to start up operations in Argentina – the third largest economy in Latin America.”

Adilson Parrella has extensive experience executing C-level and senior executive assignments in all disciplines including marketing, finance, sales, human resources, manufacturing and supply chain across several major industries, including consumer and industrial. Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, he led the Consumer and FMCG practices in Brazil and South America for one the largest global executive search firms, and also held full P&L responsibility for the start-up operations in Brazil of a European executive search firm. Outside of the executive search industry, Mr. Parrella had a 13-year career managing commercial and manufacturing operations for subsidiaries of multinational companies, demonstrating particular expertise in conducting business turnarounds and managing startups and multifunctional teams. He holds a BA and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Pedro Folque de Almeida specializes in executive recruitment in the Industrial sector. With more than 20 years of experience in executive search, he has held significant leadership positions at some of the world’s largest executive search firms, in many cases holding full responsibility for the Industrial and Technology practices in the Iberian region, as well as driving business development and cross-border search execution. Mr. de Almeida holds a post-graduate degree in business management from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa and an academic degree in International Affairs/Political Science from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa.

Eleonora Cajiao draws on more than 20 years of experience in executive search, leadership consulting and senior executive positions, to recruit C-suite and functional leaders for clients across the FMCG, retail and industrial sectors. She joins Caldwell Partners from Korn/Ferry International, where she was a senior client partner. Prior to joining the executive search industry, she managed the international expansion of Eduparques S.A (a subsidiary of the Pedro Gómez group of companies) into several Latin American countries. Earlier she worked for Unilever Andina, where she held several executive level positions of increasing responsibility. Eleonora received her law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota. Later she pursued studies in international business at University of California at Berkeley and in marketing at the Unilever Marketing Academy.

Drawing on a 26-year career in the telecommunications industry, Estanislao Peña specializes in recruiting senior executives and building high performance teams. Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, he held roles of increasing responsibility with Nextel, starting as a sales representative and eventually holding the role of CEO of Nextel Chile. In 2014, he led the sale of Nextel Chile to Novator Partners LLP, remaining an integral part of the organization as chairman of the board for the new WOM Chile (formerly Nextel), and was actively involved in the recruiting of the senior leadership team. Concurrently, he became the CEO of Paperless LatAm, leading the company’s regional operations. Mr. Peña studied business administration at Buenos Aires University, and has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He furthered his education at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where he graduated from the senior leadership program.
